Oceanway is a Northside neighborhood of Jacksonville, about 6 miles from our office at 3202 Penny Cove Ln, by Main Street (US 17), Dunn Avenue (SR 104) and Leonid Road. Once dotted with small farms, it has grown quickly since the early 1980s, and Oceanway Community Center, Park and Pool on Sago Avenue is a local hub.
Oceanway is newer than most of the Northside. In the Census tract around its center, 80 percent of the roughly 1,900 homes were built in 1990 or later and 46 percent in 2010 or later. Two-thirds are detached houses, and 14 percent are mobile homes.
